Cowboys – Big Disappointment

I have to admit I’m a little disappointed going into the NFL Playoffs.  I really expected the Cowboys to be there when this season started, but they certainly haven’t lived up to anyone’s expectati0ns.  I know injuries play a key part in any team, but I wonder about other things with this particular team.  Many commentators have expressed that they have some of the best talent in the league,  but with all that talent they haven’t played as a TEAM.  Whatever the reason, we Cowboys fans are disappointed with the season.

The day before their devastating loss to Philly – I was watching a portion of Band of Brothers with Jeremy.  It’s one of my favorite made-for-tv-series.  I enjoy watching things related to World War 2.  In this episode, the men were about to engage the enemy in a very dangerous mission, but one of the leaders seemed to have an issue with fear.  The commentary on the scene went something like this:  we all had fear, but you couldn’t let it show – it was one of those emotions that would poison a unit (team) – and could drastically affect the entire squad.

While this has nothing to do with the Cowboys, it was something that jogged my memory on the importance of a TEAM that works together.  Unity is so critical to any team regardless of what they face.  When a team works together  it’s amazing what can be accomplished.   As we enter a new year – I’m pumped about the team we are building.  I hope and pray we’ll maintain the great spirit that has marked Grace Fellowship since its beginning and move forward with God’s purpose into the next decade.  Remember, TEAM means – Together Everyone Achieves More!
