Ready?

In a few weeks we’ll start the most exciting challenge our church has ever taken together; The One Month To Live Challenge.  It’s going to be awesome to see what God does in and through us during the time we focus on this question:  “What would you do if you knew you only had one month to live?”

As I was reading in Matthew during my time alone with God this week, I read a portion of Matthew 24.  It was another strong challenge about the way we live our lives.  In Matthew 24:42 & 44 Jesus said:  42 So be prepared, because you don’t know what day your Lord is coming.  44 You also must be ready all the time. For the Son of Man will come when least expected.

Most of us who are believers have read this before or heard it many times.  The question is how has it impacted the way you are living your life today.  That’s the question and note I wrote as I journaled about this passage.

We don’t know when Jesus will return, but if you knew it would be today – what would you do differently?   Would you be ready?
