Love Is A Verb

Jesus said: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)   I heard a message recently that reminded me that “love” in this passage is a VERB not a NOUN.  Love is not something you know about or know, but it’s something you do.  It applies in marriage, parenting, church, friendships etc.  Love is simply a VERB – it’s doing.  And according to Jesus – for those of us who claim to follow Him, we’re to do it the way He did.  Don’t just think about it – do it.
