SUCCESS

One of the best things I’ve chosen to do personally is use a new Bible to read through the entire Bible this year.  It’s broken down each day so that I read a little in the Old Testament, a little in the New Testatment, a portion of a Psalm and a verse or two from Proverbs.   It’s been awesome and I’m actually journaling simple thougths in the Bible itself instead of in my Journal.  It’s been a while since I read the entire Old Testament, so it’s been really good for me.  We’re in a series right now (PRO SHOP) that deals with the equipment we need to have real success in life  (success as defined by God not culture).    This past week I came across a great little verse tucked away in 2 Chronicles that should be earmarked by every leader – every believer – when it comes to being successful.   In 2 Chron. 31:21 God reveals this incredible reminder to us from the life of Hezekiah (a King):    In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.  2 Chron. 31:21 NLT

Real success in relationships – family – business – in life itself – comes from serving, following and seeking God with a WHOLEHEART!

By the way – nothing wrong with being successful in the world – but all the things we do with our lives will be tested according to Paul as by fire  (1 Cor. 3) and those things not considered of value to the Kingdom and foundation of Jesus Christ – well —– read 1 Cor. 3:13-15      13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.
