5400 at Church in a Town of 459

I continue to be blown away by what’s going on at Grace Fellowship.  God continues to change lives and we are so privileged to get to be a part of it.   If you’re not aware of it, Grace Fellowship is a 6 year old church that’s on Hwy 114 in Paradise, Texas (pop. 459).  This weekend we hit a milestone at Grace.  We had 4 Christmas shows (2 on Saturday & 2 on Sunday) in addition to our two Sunday morning worship celebrations.  The total attendance for the 6 times we met was right at 5400 people!   That means we had the privilege of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with over 5000 people this weekend at Grace Fellowship!

Our volunteers were amazing; you guys are the best in the world!  Our Creative Arts Team did a fantastic job planning, praying, and pulling off all 6 of services.   Our Staff Team did whatever needed to be done to get the job done – they’re a blessing (when you get a chance thank them too!)   Tim Hawkins and Mark Lippard rocked.   The cardboard testimonies were powerful; you guys that shared your stories are awesome.  Thanks for being willing to be authentic & real; thanks for having the courage to tell people how Christ has changed your lives!

The only thing I wish we could have changed would have been to have more space.  For the first time ever, we had to turn people away; we ran out of parking and seats during a couple of the shows.  I hate that; we tried everything we could do with overflow and putting people everywhere possible, but when you run out of space you’re just out of space.  In light of that, I’m excited we are building the new student building which will also increase our space in the main building for future events.

Overall – it was an amazing weekend that we’ll not forget.  What a blessing to serve God with you and to be a part of what He’s doing in this area!
