Transforming Church In Rural America

Shannon O’Dell has written a great new book (title of this blog).  I read it in one sitting.  Stan and I are actually attending a one day event on Transforming Church In Rural America led by Shannon, Tony Morgan and Casey Graham this week.   I’m pumped to be a part of this and learn from these guys.

For a long time I’ve said, I don’t know of anyone else who’s experiencing what we’re seeing happen at Grace Fellowship; ie – a great move of God in a rural setting.  However, that’s exactly what’s happening with Brand New Church (Shannon’s church).   The parallels between our churches, situations and vision are pretty amazing.  It will be cool to meet, share and grow in our time together.

It’s been my desire for more than a year to write a book on doing church differently in rural America; Shannon’s already done so and his book is a blessing.  It will be worth your time to read it.  You can also check out other info about Brand New Church at www.breakingalltherurals.com.
