I’m Thankful

Haven’t written in a little while – crazy busy time – but wanted to put down a few thoughts that have been running through my head related to serving God at Grace Fellowship.

I’m so thankful for the staff team we have at Grace.  I’m thankful for their love of Christ – people & life!   I’m thankful for the way we work together in spite of all our different personalities & gifts.  I’m thankful for the way they serve without complaining (well – at least most of the time – HA!)  I really am thankful for the way they serve and come together on projects, events and ministries.

I’m thankful for the Creative Team we have at Grace.  I think our weekend services have continued to take a turn for the better week after week – largely to the hard work and creative ideas of this gifted team.   Our team works really hard to make the weekend services memorable and it’s so cool that we’ve developed such a great chemistry where we can play off each other as we pray & plan each service.  It’s so much fun, and much easier to communicate God’s truth clearly when you work with such a great creative team!

I’m thankful for our Children’s Pastor – Jeremy (yes – he’s my son and I’m mega proud of him), but I’m thankful for what he brings to the table with kids.   I’m thankful that he’s a learner and is striving to put together a great team.  I’m thankful that he has a boss like Rocky who is committed to family ministry and is such a good role model (even though he’s affectionately known as the anti-pastor in our office).   I’m thankful for the great team of leaders who serve in the Children’s Ministry week after week and for those who have given up this week to serve kids at PZ Kids Camp.  It’s been awesome every night, and tonight  the older kids will get to hear the Gospel in a very simple & creative way.  I’m praying for every one of them who doesn’t yet know Christ; that tonight they’ll understand what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and make the choice to give their heart & life to Him.

I’m thankful for Janet and her encouragement of me.  I’m thankful that she has such a deep love for people – especially kids – and is an influencer in our community for Christ!   I’m thankful that I get to be on this adventure with her – it makes it that much sweeter.

I’m thankful that Jesus saved me & called me, and that part of that call was God preparing me and allowing me the privilege of being the Pastor of Grace Fellowship.  It’s a joy to be a Kingdom Builder with the GFC Family!
