The story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:26-39) is amazing!
A couple of thoughts related to this story. This wasn’t Philip’s first rodeo; ie – he had already been sharing the gospel (the Good News) of Jesus with people prior to this encounter with the Ethiopian. So, he was PREPARED and ready when God prompted him to go to the area where the Ethiopian was going to be. He was PREPARED to share what he knew about Jesus!
I love what verse 35 says: Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. Philip started with the question asked by the Ethiopian and used it to share the truth of the death, burial & resurrection of Jesus with this man.
If you’re a follower of Christ – are you PREPARED? If God prompted you to talk to someone about Jesus or if someone came to you with a question related to the Bible, would you be about to use that to share with them about their need for a relationship with Christ? I hope so! If not, what could you do – what will you do – to change this?
