Wars – Earthquakes – Famines

In Mark 13, Jesus says that wars – rumors of wars – earthquakes & famines will be the beginning of signs that relate to the end times and His return.  During these times He also says False Christs & False Prophets will arise – doing signs & wonders to try and lead followers of Christ astray.

Jesus sternly reminds us in Mark 13 = to be wise – to be ready for His return – TO BE ON THE ALERT (vs 37)!

God’s Word & His Holy Spirit give us comfort, courage & wisdom for anything we face in this life.  In Eph 5, Paul says to be continually filled with God’s Holy Spirit – ie – wholeheartedly submit to Him and His control of your life / walk in the wisdom that can only come from knowing & doing what His Word tells us / worship Him daily with praise & thanksgiving.

One Response to Wars – Earthquakes – Famines

  1. Jonathan Shriver says:

    Matthew 24:24
For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the “elect”.

Why would a well known and respected Pastor of a huge church write a book declaring that Hell does not exist? How could he deny or twist the many scriptures that reference hell? To me it’s sad because so many sit under his teaching. So, I’ll pray for him and that the Holy Spirit which is the “spirit of truth” (John 15:26) visits him in a powerful way.

There is BIG TIME SPIRITUAL WARFARE going on here. But know this: His Word is Truth, and He said “My word will not return unto me void, but shall accomplish what I please”. Is. 55:11.

You said it well Sunday BJ. We have to read it for ourselves and not not believe it cause someone said it. Thanks for speaking “the truth”.
