I read Phil. 1 in my time in the Word this morning……AWESOME !
In Phil 1:3-6 NASB Paul says: 3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, 5 in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Are you thankful for those who work with you in spreading the Gospel? Do you pray for them with joy? Do you realize that like you – none of them have arrived either – so be careful of judging them? Isn’t it amazing to realize that God promises to complete the work He began in us (AND THEM)!
And in Phil 1:27 NASB, Paul wrote: 27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ; so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Is your conduct – (attitudes, actions, words) WORTHY of the Gospel of Christ. In spite of the differences in personality & practice of those you work with for the cause of Christ – the greater issue is the Gospel. So put aside your differences and stand firm in ONE SPIRIT and ONE MIND and STRIVE TO MAKE THE GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST KNOWN!
