Lost Values?

A while back Craig Groeschel did an incredible series on Forgotten Virtues which has stirred some questions in me I’d like to pose to you.

Out of the following list of values/virtues, which ones do you think have been largely forgotten or lost in our culture?  Please pick your top 4 and let me know what you think with any commentary you want to make on the virtue/value.  Thanks for helping with this!

Here’s the list:  Loyalty,  Gratitude,  Purity,  Honor,  Integrity,  Teamwork,  Hard Work,  Faithfulness.

I look forward to your response.

  1. Jonathan N Kara Shriver says:

    1. Gratitude-We live in a culture where many feel that they are entitled!
    2. Hard Work-Many in the current generation have had everything given to them so they do not know what “hard work” consist of.
    3. Integrity-It’s easier to go along with the “anything goes” crowd instead of standing-up for what is right!
    4. Purity-Many in our society are becoming more like Sodom and Gomorrah each and everyday!
    Hope this helps! Kara Shriver

  2. Martha Clayton says:

    1. Integrity.-code of ethics. Seems to me it all begins here.
    2. Honor-honor and integrity go hand-in-hand. Without integrity one can’t honor.
    3. Loyalty-If one can’t honor another or something such as work then loyalty is absent.
4.. Teamwork and loyalty to the team must be present for the effort to stand instead of crumbling Hardwork will follow if the teamwork is present. All else will be present in on has integrity.
