I had a great time with my grandson Benaiah this morning. We sat on my mom’s back porch and watched the Purple Martins fly and listened to them as they sang & chirped. Ben seemed fascinated by them and I loved it. I sang “Jesus Loves Me” over and over to Ben as we sat on the porch. He would coo and smile and then watch the Martins again. My mom and dad had Martins for years and my mom still enjoys putting up the Martin houses each spring as they come back. It was a great way to start the day.

BJ & Janet were married in July 1977
They have three grown children who are all married: Jeremy & Whitney Rutledge, Chris & Julie Hurst, and Josh and Hannah Rutledge. They also have five grandsons, and a granddaughter.
BJ says perhaps our greatest legacy is even though our kids are PK's, they love Jesus and are all involved in ministry in the local church.
BJ has served at churches in Dallas - Bossier City, LA - Houston - and was at Fellowship of the Woodlands (Woodlands Church) in The Woodlands before coming to Grace Fellowship.
