This past Sunday morning – I received a text from a friend that included 5 of the most powerful & encouraging words ever. The text said: “Praying for you this morning.”
I cannot tell you how that lifted my spirits and encouraged me to preach with even greater passion. I know that many people are praying for me weekly, but this text was so encouraging because there’s nothing I need more than your prayer.
In fact, if you want your Pastor to study well, to prepare well and to preach well – you need to pray well for your Pastor.
Many of us saw the impact of concerted prayer this past weekend as we had another miraculous time together at Grace Fellowship. Our office team is still putting together the lists of first time guests and those who made the decision to trust Christ. Thanks to all of you who circled Grace Fellowship in prayer leading up to Easter. Now, I hope you’ll continue to be circle makers who circle me, our staff, our volunteers and church in prayer week after week.
In light of what we’re learning together, I’d ask you to do a couple of things personally. 1) fill your mind with the Word of God, & 2) fill your mouth with prayer.
You are beginning to read/sound more like David Platt and his book, Radical . Keep praying !
