This morning I was thumbing through the Bible I’ve used for years, and came across a number of notes and ideas written in the back. One of those was on Jesus’ example in prayer. It was a great reminder.
Jesus started His day with prayer (Mark 1:35)
Jesus ended HIs day with prayer (Mark 6:46-47)
Jesus spent entire nights praying over major decisions (Luke 6:12)
Jesus prayed in the presence of His friends (Luke 9:18)
Jesus prayed in time of need & crisis (Luke 22:41-44)
Jesus prayed in total honesty (Luke 22:42)
Jesus prayed with intensity and focus (Luke 22:42-44)

BJ & Janet were married in July 1977
They have three grown children who are all married: Jeremy & Whitney Rutledge, Chris & Julie Hurst, and Josh and Hannah Rutledge. They also have five grandsons, and a granddaughter.
