Blind Man Sees More Clearly Than Many

Captain Scotty Smiley – the Army’s 1st Blind Active-Duty Officer was at Grace Fellowship yesterday.  As I interviewed him and his wife Tiffany it was evident that Scotty Smiley sees more clearly than many people who still have their physical sight.

I had heard Captain Smiley – who has been awarded the Bronze Star & Purple Heart – at the Catalyst Leadership Conference in 2011, but yesterday was even more amazing.  He and Tiffany did an incredible job sharing their story and how Philippians 4:13 is truly their way of life.  Captain Smiley lost his sight to a terrorist car bomber in Mosul Iraq on April 6, 2005.

If you did not have the opportunity to be a part of the amazing services we had yesterday (July 1, 2012)  I hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch the webcast at   I believe you’ll be blown away by the inspiring life story of Scotty & Tiffany Smiley.
