Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days. (Proverbs 19:20 NASB)
True leaders give wise counsel and administer discipline when needed. They are able to do so with wisdom because they continue to listen to the counsel of others and accept discipline personally. The leadership traits that are evident from this verse are teachability and humility. To continue as a leader you must remain committed to learning & being teachable while choosing the humble attitude of Christ as found in Phil 2. Only then will you lead with wisdom.
