Even though the 10 Year Anniversary of Grace Fellowship is June, 8, 2013, in light of all the events of June, we’re celebrating this milestone this Sunday night, June 2nd. Please go to our website: http://www.gfcfamily.com for more information.
I have reflected often on the funny and significant things that took place as God was drawing me to be the Pastor of Grace Fellowship. And prior to arriving in Bridgeport, I wrote a vision I believe God had for our church.
Over the next few days, I am sharing small highlights from that vision because it hasn’t changed. As we enter the next decade of ministry – the vision for our church is to remain focused on the main thing of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. We haven’t (and won’t) arrive, but A WIN for us as a church is: Leading people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Here’s a portion of the Vision from Feb. 2004.
I see a church where….students can’t wait for the weekend – not because of the big game – or a big date – but because of what God is doing in the Student Ministry of our church. A church that produces thousands of young men and women who will become our missionaries to the world as many of them go off to college and other communities.
I’m so proud of our leaders and the young men & young women who are a part of our Student Ministry. Not only do our students serve in significant ways throughout the life of our church, they are faithful in making a difference in the lives of their friends and have a heart for social & missional causes. It continues to thrill me to see the young men & women emerging from our Student Ministry as leaders.
