GFC Celebrates 10 Years – Pt 3

Even though the 10 Year Anniversary of Grace Fellowship is June, 8, 2013, in light of all the events of June, we’re celebrating this milestone this Sunday night, June 2nd.  Please go to our website: http://www.gfcfamily.com for more information.

I have reflected often on the funny and significant things that took place as God was drawing me to be the Pastor of Grace Fellowship.  And prior to arriving in Bridgeport, I wrote a vision I believe God had for our church.

Over the next few days, I am sharing small highlights from that vision because it hasn’t changed.  As we enter the next decade of ministry – the vision for our church is to remain focused on the main thing of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.  We haven’t (and won’t) arrive, but A WIN for us as a church is: Leading people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Here’s a portion of the Vision from Feb. 2004.

I see a church… that raises up an army of fully devoted followers of Christ – many who are called to serve God in a full-time ministry.  A church where families, marriages, and relationships are healed and strengthened.  A church that is bathed in prayer.

A church that meets the practical needs of people;  that loves like Jesus loves – by reaching out to all people regardless of their past, race, or social standing.

Again – I’m so thankful to see this happening right before our eyes.  GFC is truly a Miracle In The Cow Pasture!
