2 – 5 Challenge

We have an ongoing slogan among our staff called “2 – 5”.  Sometimes we’ll bump our chest twice, hold up 2 fingers followed by all five digits on our hand and then say “two five”.  This comes from Phil. 2:5 which reminds us to have the mind and attitude of Christ.

To have the mind and attitude of Christ – you need to know Him personally and know His Word, so I want to issue the 2 – 5 challenge to you to join me in reading all His Word in the New Testament by Easter.

Beginning this Sunday, Jan 5, read 5 chapters in the New Testament (NT), and then on each of the other 6 days of the week read 2 chapters in the NT.  Read 5 chapters each Sunday and 2 chapters each of the other days of the week; a total of 17 chapters/week.  If you’ll follow this 2 – 5  plan, you’ll read the last five chapters of Revelation on Sunday, April 20th, which is Easter.  NOTE: You don’t have to read 5 chapters on Sunday, but pick one day of the week to do this and read 2 chapters all the other days.

To GROW as a follower of Christ, you need to apply the Word of God in your life.  One of the best tools to help with this is the ENSPEC Questions we’ve given out on many occasions.  The ENSPEC Questions encourage you to ask the right questions in order to apply the Scripture to your life.
