Approximately 350 people from Grace Fellowship will attend a pre-release showing of the Son of God movie tonight. I’m so excited about this movie and the potential it has to impact people around the world.
Even if you were unable to get tickets for the pre-release showing tonight – I hope you’ll go to the movie this weekend. BOX OFFICE results of opening weekend are critical to the receptivity of Hollywood to films and this is another way of saying to Hollywood that there’s a niche for films like this.
By the way – the film is rated PG-13 because of some violence in the movie and the depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus.
I’m also excited that we’ll begin a series called SON OF GOD on March 23 at Grace, and we’re asking all LIFE GROUPS to align around this series from March 23 – May 4 (which includes skipping Easter weekend). The Life Group Material will be different from the sermon series, and what I’ve seen so far is fantastic. It’s a video driven curriculum with great application & discussion questions.
I’m stoked about how this will prepare us for Easter Weekend – April 19-20. I hope you’ll be praying with me that this movie, series and our Life Group sessions will have a powerful impact around the world and in our community!
