Jesus’ Custom

Have you ever considered the things Jesus did on a regular basis?  What were the habits of His life?

We know He spent a great deal of time in prayer and would rise early in the morning to be alone with God the Father.  We know of His compassion for people as He healed them spiritually, emotionally and physically.  We know He spoke in ways people could understand and remained focused on His purpose.  We know He quoted scripture when tempted by Satan.  And as I was preparing for this Sunday’s message I thought it was interesting to read the following passage:

“14 Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside. 15 He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him. 16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom…”  Luke 4:14-16 NIV

Think about it.
