Unfiltered Love

This past Tuesday Janet and I were on Skype with our grandson Barrett who turns three this month.  He’s coming to see us soon and we were talking about it; that we couldn’t wait to see him.  As we talked he said something that grabbed my heart.  He said: “Papa B, I want you come my house today.”  When we explained that we’d see him soon, he was adamant: “Papa B, I want see you today.”   At this point in his life, he’s expressing pure unfiltered love, and with all its magic & meaning, it’s not as strong as the love Christ has for us.  In Revelation 3;20, Jesus tells us He stands at the door of our life and knocks – and if we’ll open the door – He’ll join us in loving fellowship.  Like Barrett, Jesus wants to be at our house – invited into our life – today.
