Stoked

To be “stoked” is to be completely and intensely enthusiastic, exhilarated, or excited about something.

I was stoked to watch my son-in-law Chris Hurst and my son in the ministry (if he’ll let me call him that) Rocky Johnson bring two great messages at two great churches this morning via the internet.

I am learning much during this “sabbatical” but man I miss being home with Janet, family and friends.  And I miss being at Grace – it’s home – it’s my community of faith – it’s where I see God at work in miraculous ways – it’s where I see so many hearts tender toward God – it’s where I want to be on Sunday (not out of obligation but celebration) – I love being at Grace Fellowship!

By the way – I still have my “man card” even though I shed some tears this morning as I listened to Shiloh’s story at the end of our services at Grace.  I know the situation and some of what’s she’s been through, and I loved that she was willing to share part of her story.  I’m grateful to know there weren’t many dry eyes at GFC this morning as our church family listened to her story.  I hope and pray we’ll always keep a heart that’s tender to the things that God is doing & receptive to His amazing grace!

So – all in all – I’m STOKED!
