One of the books I’ve read this summer is All In by Mark Batterson. Can’t remember the exact wording, but in the book Mark mentions that most of us want to spend eternity with God, but we don’t want to spend time with Him now. Instead we spend more time on Facebook than we do in His Book, and we’re more interested in text messages than we are in His Text. We want to see Him at work in our lives, but we spend more time focusing on TV, iPhones and iPads than we do focusing on Jesus, so is it any wonder God seems distant? Just an idea to ponder.
