GROW

Those of you who know me will not be surprised I’m using an acronym for this. For years I’ve been sharing this simple way to remember some first steps that can help us grow in our relationship with Jesus.

G – Go to God in prayer.

Be honest – talk to God about everything – talk to Him throughout the day. Ask Him for guidance and help.

R – Read God’s Word daily.

Use a reading plan. You can find a great reading plan on the You Version App or go to youversion.com

O – Obey what you read in God’s Word.

Obedience to God’s Word doesn’t mean you won’t have problems; you will. But obedience also brings blessing. Andy Stanley says if you want to understand why – submit and apply.

W – Worship privately & publicly.

Worship means giving worth to something or someone.

Show you value your relationship with Jesus by:

Privately spending time alone with Him – praying & reading His Word.

Publicly connecting with a small group so you’ll be challenged to grow.

Publicly participating in a church by attending & serving.
