INTO THE STORM

I’m stoked to begin a new series this Sunday, Sept. 14th, at Grace called INTO THE STORM.

In preparation for this Sunday, I’d love for you to read a little Bible history that may shock and surprise you. I’m suggesting you read 2 Samuel 11-18. It’s eight short chapters that are the backdrop for Sunday’s message.

As I’ve suggested for years, as you read – ENSPEC each portion of Scripture by asking six simple questions:

E – Is there an EXAMPLE for me to follow?

N – Is there a NEW THOUGHT for me to consider about God?

S – Is there a SIN for me to confess and turn from?

P – Is there a PROMISE for me to claim?

E – Is there an ERROR for me to avoid?

C – Is there a COMMAND for me to obey?

BJ & Janet were married in July 1977 They have three grown children who are all married: Jeremy & Whitney Rutledge, Chris & Julie Hurst, and Josh and Hannah Rutledge. They also have five grandsons, and a granddaughter. BJ says perhaps our greatest legacy is even though our kids are PK's, they love Jesus and are all involved in ministry in the local church. BJ has served at churches in Dallas - Bossier City, LA - Houston - and was at Fellowship of the Woodlands (Woodlands Church) in The Woodlands before coming to Grace Fellowship.
