Sucker Punched

This week has been one where I feel like I keep getting sucker punched in the gut.

Several of our church members and friends have received medical reports that aren’t what you want to hear, and others continue to go through very difficult circumstances caused by other people.

The C word (cancer) is involved in a couple of these situations.   I know it’s a part of our broken world, but I hate cancer.

However, in the midst of these situations, I was reminded of several passages that have been so helpful to me when going through tragedy.   Isaiah 41:10 is probably my favorite, but I also recalled Isaiah 26:3-4, Isaiah 40:28-31,  and Philippians 4:6-8.  I love the promises of these passages!
