I’ve been thinking a lot about GRACE & TRUTH lately.  I’m reminded that when it comes to GRACE and TRUTH, Jesus lacks nothing, but is the perfect and full expression of GRACE & TRUTH.  Why is this so important?  Because GRACE & TRUTH are indispensable elements of salvation; of being made right with God.

Salvation isn’t possible apart from God’s GRACE.  He makes it possible for imperfect, unholy, impure people like me to be made right with Him thru faith in Jesus so I can come into His holy, perfect, pure presence and ultimately spend eternity with Him.

Romans 6:23 reminds me that I can only move from death to life through Jesus Christ.  The gift of eternal life is a GRACE GIFT that is mine when I receive and believe the TRUTH of the Gospel of Christ (Jesus died, was buried, was raised from the dead and appeared to many).

It is God’s GRACE thru Christ that makes it possible for me to be made right with Him.  (Rom. 5:1-2, Phil. 3:8-10, 2 Cor. 5:21)

When I respond to that GRACE and believe (put the full weight of my faith and trust) in the TRUTH of the Gospel of Christ, I am made right with God.  (Eph. 2-8-9, Rom. 5:1-2)

But that’s just the starting point of salvation.  Now, I’m to grow in His GRACE and TRUTH; to grow in my relationship with Jesus.  And, I’m to extend His GRACE and TRUTH to others.
