4 Things Every Follower of Christ Should Do – NOW

IMG_1430The hope of America is not politics, education or social reforms. I love our nation; I love the fact that my father & many of my relatives fought for the freedoms we enjoy, but IF Christians don’t change we’re going to lose even more of those freedoms.  I believe the hope of America is Jesus Christ and scripture is clear;  when we begin to call good evil and evil good, judgment will follow.  For Jack and the rest of my grandkids, I hope and pray for a change.

Months ago, I encouraged our church family to pray and practice 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says:  “…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

From this passage I think we find 4 Things Every Follower Of Christ Should Do – NOW

  1. Choose Humility – 1st before God and then with people
  2. Pray – earnestly with humility, repentance, confession and thanksgiving
  3. Seek God 1st in every aspect of life – home, work, school, hobbies, etc
  4. Turn – from anything Scripture calls wicked – (repentance)
