WHEN FATHER’S DAY IS DIFFICULT

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

This is a wonderful day to celebrate for so many families.  Some of you still have the joy of being able to spend time with your father and others have wonderful memories of their dads,  but it’s also a difficult day for others.

Scripture says we’re to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.  So would you join me in praying for families and fathers everywhere.

Pray for families who have recently lost a dad (or granddad) and the grief they’re still working through.

Pray for dads who have lost a child and the pain they are reminded of on days like today.

Pray for men who want to be a father and have not been able to do so because Father’s Day reminds them of this heartache.

Pray for men who want to be a father and have not been able to do so biologically.  Pray they might consider adoption and being an incredible blessing to a child who needs a dad.

Pray for the families who have difficult memories because of a dad who abandoned them or was abusive in some way and they’re still dealing with the pain.

Pray for families who have gone through the pain of divorce and for children who have to split time with mom and dad.

Pray for the dads who are trying to lead blended families and the challenges they face.

Thank God for being a perfect heavenly father who loves you with an unconditional love and wants you to be a part of His forever family.
