Engage = to do, or to take part in something.
The pattern for prayer Jesus gave us in Matthew 6 is often called “The Lord’s Prayer”. He didn’t intend it to be a prayer we recite without thinking about what we’re saying, but it’s a guide to help us know how to talk to God in prayer.
Jesus said: 9 “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:9-11 NASB
What do you think Jesus meant when He said to ask God to give us our daily bread?
If God is the one who can meet our needs daily (not just food needs), what attitude(s) should we have when we pray?
What’s the wise thing to do?
