Engage = to do, or to take part in something.
In the pattern for prayer Jesus gave us, He said: 9 “Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. 11 ‘Give us this day our daily bread. 12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’ Matthew 6:9-13 NASB
Scripture is clear that God never tempts anyone to do wrong, so what do you think Jesus meant here?
1 Corinthians 10:13 says the temptations we face are no different that what other people face, but God will always provide a way for us to escape the temptation. Think about that for a moment. What does that say about our choices when tempted?
How could you allow prayer to be a vehicle where you recognize and admit your weaknesses and ask for God’s help?
