Several years after becoming a follower of Christ I realized He wanted me to live in victory every day, and a big part of that was believing what God said about me instead of giving in to the lies and deceptions of our enemy (Satan).
If you are a real-believer, not a make-believer, you are positioned (placed in a relationship of right standing) with God through Jesus Christ. I began to experience freedom as I made (and keep making) the decision to believe what God says about me and my position in Him because of Christ. I’m still in the process of acting on this, but it’s true regardless of my response, and my position & standing means…..
I AM ACCEPTED:
John 1:12 Called a child of God
John 15:15 Jesus says I am His friend
Rom. 5:1 I am justified
1 Cor. 6:20 I belong to God
Eph. 1:1 I am a Saint
Eph 2:18 I have direct access to God thru the Holy Spirit
Col. 1:14 I have been forgiven of all sin
I AM SECURE:
Rom. 8:1-2 I am free from all condemnation
Rom. 8:39 Nothing can separate me from God’s love
Phil 1:6 God will complete the work He began in me
Phil 3:20 My citizenship is in heaven
2 Tim 1:7 I have no need to fear
Heb. 4:16 I can find grace and mercy when in need
1 John 5:18 I’m born of God & the evil one cannot touch me
I HAVE SIGNIFICANCE:
2 Cor 5:18 I am a minister of reconciliation
2 Cor. 6:1 God has called me to help in His kingdom work
Phil 4:13 I can do all things thru Christ’s strength
John 15:16 I have been chosen to impact my world
Eph 3:12 I can approach God with freedom & confidence
Matt 5:13 I can bring light into the world’s darkness
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ – all these things are true of you – so you have the authority to live in them daily!

What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Romans 6:1-2 NASB
But if we confess our sins to God, he will keep his promise and do what is right: he will forgive us our sins and purify us from all our wrongdoing. 1 John 1:9 GNT
