Dak Prescott – Character

I don’t know much about Dak Prescott, but he’s certainly been impressive as a Rookie QB in the NFL.   As a longtime Dallas  Cowboys’ fan it’s great to see the chemistry he has with the team, and to see the Cowboys playing so well.

As we watched the game against Baltimore Sunday, one moment caught my attention in a major way.  With 1:50 left in the game, the camera panned to Dak, on the bench, drinking from what appeared to be a Gatorade cup.  When he finished, he tossed the cup backwards toward a trash container behind the bench where he was sitting.  The cup bounced off the top of the trash container and fell to the ground.  Dak got up, picked the cup up, and threw it in the trash container.  My immediate thought was: “there’s a man of character”.  He’s currently the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys and could have easily thought picking up a cup was someone else’s job.  He didn’t.  Instead, he demonstrated character.
