As you serve the Lord, work hard and don’t be lazy. Be excited about serving him! Be happy because of the hope you have. Be patient when you have troubles. Pray all the time. Romans 12:11-12 ERV
As we continue to pray for LIGHT, our Christmas services on December 22 & 23, we’ll use ACTS in Prayer as a guide. If you need a little more information or explanation please refer to the previous week’s posts.
Please spend a few moments doing each of these…
A = Adoration
C = Confession
T = Thanksgiving
S = Supplication
In Romans 12:12, Paul not only said pray all the time, he talked about serving. We’ll have 5 Christmas services with 2 on Saturday night so we’ll need many more people to serve in various areas to do the best job possible of serving those who attend. As a follower of Christ, we need to remember “It’s Not About Me”. We’re here to share the LIGHT of Jesus with our community and world. Please ask God to provide the people we need to serve in all areas of ministry during LIGHT.
To reach people who don’t know God or who are far from God, we need to serve. You don’t have to pray about it being God’s will for you to serve Him in His church; the New Testament is clear that we should all serve. If you’re not serving in some way, I am encouraging you to start serving and while you’re engaged in serving ask God to show you the best place for you to use the gifts and talents He’s given you to serve.
