Most of us have played the old game “Simon Says”. It’s fun, but insignificant. In Luke 2:30 “SIMEON SAYS” something that is incredibly significant. Simeon was a righteous man before God who had been given an incredible promise (Luke 2:26) – a promise that he would see the Messiah – the Christ – before he died.
In Luke 12:30, when he saw the child Jesus he thanked God and said: With my own eyes I have seen your salvation.
When Simeon saw Jesus – he saw in Him the salvation of God. There are all kinds of things we can discuss and get sidetracked on in our lives & churches, but if you want people to experience God’s salvation – you’ve got to get them to SEE JESUS clearly.
When people are around you – do they see Jesus? When they’re at your church – do they see Jesus? Salvation is found in no one else.
